The Preppiest Most Perfect Wedding
Since we were kids, we’ve dreamed about our big days together. Having a sister is probably the best thing in the world and seeing your sister happy is even better. When Katy met A, it did not take him long to see how close we were and when he filled me in on his secret to propose, I think I knew from that moment that he was going to be the best brother-in-law. He even included me in on the ring design several months before he proposed and I still to this day don’t know how I kept that secret for so long. But it meant so much to me. Once the perfect proposal took place with the perfect ring on a sunrise bike ride at the beach, the planning we dreamed our whole lives about finally began.
Katy is the most organized person I know and had the best ideas when it came to celebrating the big day she would finally marry A! She had all the ideas. Everyone thinks I’m the creative sister… not true at all. I’m just the one that executes my sister’s creative ideas most of the time, but they’re definitely her ideas.
These two are the happiest couple and dog parents to their precious Ammo (my dog nephew) and hands down the best aunt and uncle there ever was to our little dude. We were so excited to be a part of their big day! I wish I could explain every detail at length because it was the most thought out, personalized and FUN wedding I’ve ever seen… from the coasters to the koozies, everything was perfect. I’ve added a few of our favorite photos to highlight one of our favorite days!
As usual, we started with a logo. Incorporating their black lab was a no-brainer for this so we created a monogram crest surrounded by their sweet pup’s image. We used it throughout the entire event from save the dates to party favors in gold foil, black and pink.
The paper products of this wedding were everything. Pictured above: save the date, rehearsal dinner invitation + part of the wedding invitation suite.
As with all fabulous events, the invitation sets the stage and these were no exception. We started with the most fabulous hot pink envelopes and used a beautiful black pocket card enclosure to house the custom wedding invitation, insert cards and sealed them with a custom striped band and gold foiled square of the wedding logo. I was so excited with how these turned out!
I wish I had a better photo of these timelines she did for the bridal party. These were a rough draft with a dull paper cutter.. the final ones were perfect. But, what a great way to let the groomsmen + bridesmaids + family members know where to be for photo ops and appointments. Of course we used little icons that matched the wedding theme.
It was the most perfect late summer/early fall day in North Carolina
Instead of a traditional guest book, they used white corn hole boards with their logo on each one. Guests signed them in black, gold & pink and I know they’ll use these for lots of fun memories together at concerts, sports events & other fun parties and be reminded of their special day.
Custom made coasters we designed that had the cutest little way to telling the wait staff not to pick up the drinks while guests were on the dance floor. This one is shown with the hAPPy hour Snapchat filter from one of the bars. (My Sister & Brother-in-law met at App State so one of the bars had a full App theme and it was adorable!)Their black lab, Ammo is such a big part of their life and really the reason they started hanging out before they dated so custom dog-treat labels as a party favor to other guests’ pups was the most adorable idea! We just wrapped Ammo’s favorite treats in cellophane bags and added custom gold labels with their logo & a signature from Ammo.
I wish I had a better photo of the display with the dog treats but luckily I did snap one of my phone while we were starting to setup. Katy happened to have an adorable little labrador statue covered in black glitter so we used that with a gold foiled sign from Ammo. It said ‘Take a treat FUR my friends that couldn’t make it to the PAWty’ with a pink floral arrangement and one of her bridal portraits that Ammo got to join!
Pink foil ‘Oh Snap’ social media signage displayed throughout the reception venue with the Instagram hashtag and snapchat geofilter info. The koozies in the background are pink and black both with metallic gold ink with the custom logo.
We created other signs and forgot to get pictures of them, I’ll add the digital files below. The bathroom signs were so funny and displayed with mints plus a few beauty products & hair accessories for the girls.
A better shot of the guy’s boutonnieres with the coasters and one of the grandmother’s flowers. The little details at this wedding were truly so thought and perfect. Are those pineapples not amazing?!
Even the cake was perfect. Black and white stripes, pearls, a gold pineapple and the logo in gold, too. Not to mention delicious. She was so excited when she sat down with the baker to create this & it was gorgeous on the big day!
You guys… isn’t she gorgeous? Let’s see how many times I cry trying to finalize this post.
The best first look. EVER. Aren’t they so happy & adorable? We all know her dress is amazing & completely perfect for her… but this jacket on A was everything, too. Combined with Katy’s ideas for pineapples incorporated into the florals, it was perfection. His bowtie was also custom made to match the swatches of the bridesmaid dresses.
The happiest, pinkest bridal party ever. The bouquets were so pink and Katy’s even had little (real) pineapples in them and of course the ribbons on the bouquets were monogrammed for each girl. The earrings were part of the gift for the bridesmaids and they were black and white stripe with hot pink tassels, everyone loved them and they were so fun!
A loves NASCAR and my sister thought the best way to incorporate something he loved would be the exit. Plus, the black and white checkered flags tagged into the black and white theme perfectly. And so unique!

I’m so happy my sister found the perfect guy for her and I loved celebrating their day together. Wasn’t this wedding so much fun? I told you she was the most detailed planner, ever! She combined the most fun elements with pineapples, palm leaves, black and white stripes and everything gold… it was flawless. Even better than we imagined as kids. And I can’t forget to mention how thankful we are for A. He is the best brother-in-law to me, son-in-law to my parents, brother-in-law to my husband and even better uncle to our babe. We are all so lucky these two met and fell in love. This beautiful day did not compare to how beautiful they are inside and out as a couple. I hope you loved checking out this wedding as much as we loved being a part of it.
